The Gay Millennial is a self help book for the modern age. I am by no means qualified to give you advice on your life, but that won't stop me. This book is more about telling you what NOT to do, should you find yourself in similar situations as I have over the years. In my twenty four years on this god forsaken planet, I've picked up a few tips along the way. This book is a journey through my teenage years and early twenties, with huge highs and fucking low lows. This book is NOT fiction. This book is NOT a fairytale. This book does NOT have a happy ending. If you are looking for an inspiring coming of age tale where a gay teen is absolutely loving life, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a book that takes you on a rollercoaster of a journey, dealing with sexual assault, heartbreak and self sabotage, this book is for you. This book is written with a dry sense of humour. Throughout my struggles, I found that the best way to cope with trauma is with comedy. I relied on sarcasm and wit to get me through some of the darkest moments of my life.Grab a bottle of wine (you'll need it), pop yourself in the bath, light a damn candle and buckle up. This is one hell of a ride.
